Let me start by saying that I'm an avid road cyclist that rides multiple times per week. My short weekday rides are typically a little over an hour and with our recent heat wave I've started night rides after 10 pm. I was looking for a light that would work on country roads with no other lighting on a pitch black night.

I've tried at least 6 other lights before finding this one. All of them either had brightness issues, battery length issues or heat issues (I burnt my hand on at least one of them). This light has none of those issues.

First, this light is bright and the 1600 LM rating is probably close to correct. The light has indicators for the amount of time left on a charge and it smartly switches that estimation as you change lighting brightness or modes. The light states that it will run 2 hours on full brightness. I've now done 3 @ 1 hour rides on full brightness and it is still showing that there is over 30 minutes remaining. Not once has the lighting level dimmed and at full brightness, the light is not even warm to the touch.

All I can say is wow! Bought this light for my road bike. It is a bit on the heavier side, but it works great and looks even better. Was able to mount it directly under my Garmin unit. Bright and powerful battery!
